They came, and they are broken.  Right side cuts in and out depending on how far the jack is pushed in.  They also sound a million miles away, had to crank my ACM to over half to hear them properly.

return them and hope that they have another pair to send you.  i got mine in a couple of days ago, and i'm very pleased with the sound for $100

Darn. I did Site-to-Store because it was quicker but they're still not in. They said Monday anyway. Link doesn't work any more either so I guess they're out. Good luck this was a decent deal.

The AKG K518LE is $45+tax at Canada Computers. I have no idea if they are good or not.

well, he did say that his pairs were broken. So I don't think that you should compare it to a normal xba3.

FYI it looks like Westone is discontinuing the hard wired versions of its earphones. Pretty big discounts of remaining stock at various authorized dealers. I'd try the W4 but can't right now. Averaging $315 for the W4. $185 for the W2 and around $235 for the W3. Um3x around $300. Not bad but similar to various sale prices too

That may be due to the TRRS connection (with mic).  I have that same problem with some of my headphones that have mic, when trying to connect to PC as source.

Does that still sound bad when connected to smartphone?
