Using a headphone amp with an electric guitar

Is it possible to use a headphone amp with an electric guitar? What would the sound be like? Is any other equipment necessary?

I have a Graham Slee Solo and HD650s.

Cheers!

Have you looked at the Centrance AxePort? It's also a digital recording interface. No personal experience with it, but the Dacport was a pretty solid product.

you could plug the line out from a guitar amp, of a guitar amp modeler(this one is mono though), or Multi-Effects setup. but it can be a trial to get rid of hum. my amp has a cd line in, and headphone out, but it tends to hum over head phones.

they even have purpose build guitar headphone amps.

the multi-effects setup is the most fun, some have a line in and headphone out built in. if you have a good music shop local i bet they would let you try out some with your guitar and headphones. they run from 50 bucks up to as much as you can afford. sorry about your wallet.

Thanks for the advice, I'll take a look at those suggestions.
