I didn't think of TEAC when I began searching for a dedicated CD player. My initial short list included Denon, Cambridge, Marantz, Onkyo. The Teac intrigued me, so I went for it. It is very...

Beats out the Bose Triport, the HD 202 and HD 435s, the AT M35 and AT M50. Just try it and see. Extremely comfortable (I wear mine while commuting and studying, for about 5+ hours a day). Bought...

John Legend & The Roots - Wake Up
Yes, I think The Roots should do an instrumental album
Too much sing for me on this one.

^^
I agree, The Roots are better by themselves.
I felt Legend was outshined by them for the most part.
It took me a few days but I really really like this album. As they talked about in the video.. the songs they chose to cover all touch on issues that are happening in the world now even though they were written years ago. Both the roots and john legend are both good by themselves but I thought it was cool to see the two mix on a cover album. Do I hope they do it again? No. They crossed paths for one album and I really enjoyed it but they are both good enough to hold strong on their own.
Two different styles that sounded pretty good together I think.

Tbh I am a bit disappointed with the album after 4 or so listens.
Much prefer their solo stuff. Maybe it will grow on me.

John Legend doesn't move me; never has. The Roots sound great, though, especially on Donny Hathaway's "Little Ghetto Boy".
