Internet radio app for iphone?

Hi All, I love WFMU http://wfmu.org/ !, I listen to Jonsey  http://www.wfmu.org/Playlists/GJ/archives.html every weekend.  I also listen to:

KALX

KZSU

KFJC

WBGO
KSCU
WNYU

KZSC
KALW
KPFA

 

WFMU has their own app, but, I would like an app for the iphone that I can listen and save all of my favorite stations.  What is the best app for listening to internet radio? Are some of higher resolution than others?  Thanks!

Hey musedesign, iheartradio has stations from all over the country in a variety of genres. I use that quite a bit along with several local stations here in Seattle that have their own app. You can save your favs in iheartradio, tho. Hope this helps. Cheers!

I second iheartradio. Also search the app store for your local station, one I like has their own app, and they aren't in iheartradio.

It's also worth mentioning that with iHeartradio  you can have stations auto-play when you start it up, and the app runs in the background. When you double-tap home and the play buttons come up <- and -> select favorites and play/pause stops (or plays) the station you selected. It's actually very convenient I think.

Check out the NPR app.  You can stream from all over.

 

Personally, I like the KPCC app and still stream the LA station down in the desert.

I checked out iheartradio and it doesn't seem to list my favorite stations KALX and WFMU

Did an Internet search and found allradio $.99 checking it out, has WFMU and KALX, will keep look for other apps that include college radio.  Thanks!
