Up for sale are my Audez’e LCD2 planar magnetic headphones. One of the current hottest headphones around

I’ve had these headphones for a few weeks now, and I’ve had a problem with the sound signature from the moment I heard them, - I have unusual tastes and possibly unusual shaped ears (quite big!) And no doubt do not help the issue) but I appear to be in the small minority of people who do not like the sound of this headphone. I prefer a headphone with less flat, more U-shaped typed FR response with a bit more bass and treble compared to midrange.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this example, - I lent them to a friend on a local forum for a short time and he really liked them, - which of course is the the much more typical response.

My thoughts are documented later in this thread and also on the LCD2 Head-Fi thread (check my posts from my profile)

 

Condition of course is perfect, and the phones come with everything as new. Its the latest version, with upgraded grills (with "A" on them) and the upgraded headband foam.

 

I am asking exactly what I paid with taxes, - which is £780 (UK pounds) + shipping + paypal fees. I paid £650 for the headphones and £130 import tax, which comes to £780.
This is a good opportunity for an EU buyer to get a pair of these without waiting for a pre order pair for the same price with taxes.

 

I am located in the UK but am willing to ship worldwide.

Hiya,

Trades? It depends, - I have some stuff on Ebay which might possibly sell, but things are a bit slow at the moment and none of them have sold yet (been on there for a while), - that's why I put up the LCD2 up here as well as I could do with selling something. My original plan was to put the LCD2 up as trade ad for an HD800 (which is more likely to have the sort of treble I want). I could also be interested in the HE5 or HE5LE (again as they have a more prominent treble than the LCD2), but I could only really go for a trade if one of the things I have on Ebay sells soon, - might do, - might not, will see

But yeah those 3 phones would be the only trades I am looking for really.Or possibly a Yamaha YH100, - as I wouldn't mind a spare one. And of course, a YH1000 would be nice too but not many people have those as they are quite rare. 

But yeah I'll see how it pans out with this and the Ebay thing over the next couple of days and see what happens, - did you have anything in particular in mind for trade?

I have a HE-5LE which I bought from debitsohn and that I would be interested in trading (would add cash of course). I have the box and the 2 cables (the long black copper? balanced one with the balance to SE converter and the short silver SE one). I can take pictures of it if and when you are interested in trading.

 

I am not sure, if it would fulfill your desire for more trebble, however I have not done the clothless grill mod which supposedly helps.

Sorry for the slight delay in replying, - been out all day!

Thanks for your views about the HE5LE with regards to treble for me. Your honesty is much appreciated. Does seem it might be a bit better than the LCD2 for me, but unlikely to quite have the sort of treble I want and be as extended as the HD800. And actually neither the HD800 or HE5LE are likely to have the sort of bass balance I am looking for either! But at least the HD800 will have the treble I want, - might not be too hard to eq the bass. Will give it a think. A guy PMed me from the UK who wants to buy the LCD2s straight- it seems quite likely now I will sell them to him, but I'll let you know what happens for sure.
