Schiit Asgard VS Meier Concerto for HE-5LE?

I currently have the HE-5LE paired up with a Meier-Audio Corda Opera (DAC+Amp).  I want to buy the Audio-GD DAC-19 DSP, which involves selling the Opera and getting a standalone Amp.

 

I know the prices are *very* different.  But ignoring that, what would pair better with the HE-5LE + DAC-19 DSP, the Asgard or the Concerto?

Hmmm!  The C2-SA?  I wonder how it would compare to the Asgard and Concerto when paired with an HE-5LE...

I'm very happy with the Asgard on my HE-5LE...plenty of range on the volume control for high SPL and excellent dynamics. I have not heard the other amps mentioned.

 

However, I feel the top octave is slightly too sweet - that is, a little subdued and perhaps not getting the best out of the 5LE for "air" and fine detail. My KICAS handled the top octave slightly better (to me). On balance, I notice good slam, dynamics, seductive mids with the Asgard.

Any more recommendations?  I'm really open to all options around the Asgard to Concerto price range.  The EF-5 is tempting but I'd rather not have to deal with tubes.

Up to $710 (the Concerto's price).

Safe recommendation?

 

Get the Asgard and trial it...sell if it's not working for you while the demand is high for the Asgard...loss is minimal.

Thanks, but I'm currently in Costa Rica so taxes and shipping back and forth make that impractical.
