Looking for good Jazz music

Im looking for bebop type jazz, something fast and technical with lots of changes and improvisation. I do not want slow, pop jazz with singing. It also must have half decent recording quality. I love bebop, but those old recordings are abysmal sounding. Can anyone help me out?

the beat marches on.  There's just so much.  I figured I'd give you some less likely an unconventional choices.  The you'll get Art Blakey, Miles, Horace Silver, Cannonball Adderley and bands, Johnny Griffin, ...

For a surprise, you might want to locate Mel Torme and the Marty Paitch Dectet "Lulu's Back in Town".  Mighty fine ensemble work.
