no pricing on this and it puts out if I am reading correctly 6W into 25 ohms. Interesting

It looks like he has made a single ended Roc SA alternative, it looks to be very interesting.  Depending upon the price it could be a very interesting choice for orthos since it appears to have enough output power to melt dynamic headphones.

With a decent price I can't imagine that it will take too long for somebody to pick one of these up.

it does look interesting. depends on how he priced it and when its available

The only thing I notice now about this amp is that I don't see that is Class A, then again I don't think the Roc SA is Class A either.  As to how much of a difference that makes I can't say, but for the price it looks quite good.

No, SA headamps are not class A - not Roc SA, nor C-2 SA (thus that much power).

Roc and C-2 are class A.

hmmm, can it drive k1000s?

It should output close to 3W to the K1000, which I imagine is plenty to drive them.

I thought the K1000 needed about 8W total, but maybe my memory fails me.

Yes, the K-1000 user manual says that it needs 8W or better.

Is that 8 watts at 4/8 ohms or 120 ohms?  I have never seen the manual, so I am just curious as to just how much power it really wants.
