Turbine Pro causes DAC to lose sync

I finally correlated a problem I've been having with my Turbine Pro Copper headphones.  When I'm wearing them, if I shift in my chair it seems to create static that goes through the headphone through the amp and all the way back to my dacmagic causing it to lose usb lock.  I have to pause the song and play again to get it to sync correctly.  Through other devices it'll pop and do other stuff when I shift, but won't lose lock completely but still disrupts the sound.  This doesn't happen with any of my other headphones.  Weird eh?

 

I wonder what could be so different about the turbine to cause this.

Yup, it's definitely something about the Turbine Pro Copper as when I'm using my two shure IEMs nothing happens when I shift around.  With the turbine it happens nearly anytime I make a large movement, I have to pause and resume the music to get the sync back.

 

I wonder if maybe it's the metal shells can pick up any static I generate and transfers it all the way back to the DAC.  If the shells are somehow connected to ground, this could be a possibility.  Whatever the case it's annoying to lose DAC lock and I have to be really careful with any movements when I'm using the turbine.
