Tough Times: What to do with $11 and Some Change

In an effort to find the best deal on a new pair of ksc75s, since I lost my other two pairs and my ksc35s, I ran accross amazon.com's special. If I buy the ksc75s and spend a total of $25 on qualified purchases, I get free shipping. The cans are going to go with my Sansa Clip, and I'm going to find an appropriate sized mint tin or something similar for the case.

Just thinking that fellow headfiers have ran into the same cunundrum. The cans cost $13.71. What should I spend the remainig $11.29 on that would thrill a headphone junky. Times are tough, and I don't want to waste any large part of an Andrew Jackson. What would you do, or what have you done for that matter in a similar bind?

For 2 bucks more you can buy Raw Power by the Stooges. I recommend you do that. You can never have to much Raw Power in your life.

Ya. I suppose I might need it 'cause ksc75s don't get very loud with the Sansa Clip. Hmmm, Isn't there like a $7 amp or something? What else could I buy? Isn't there some little piece of headphone magic I can buy for 11 bucks?

I see you're from Chicago. I wonder if I want anything from Amazon as well because I can order the ksc75 for you along with my order. Chiunifi is right around the corner and it would be a convenience to meet that way.

I've been thinking about ordering Sanyo Eneloop 4 Pack AA NiMH Pre-Charged Rechargable Batteries w/ Charger from Amazon and it qualifies for free shipping over $25. If we combine orders, we can get free shipping that way.

Thank you. That is a team player trying to be very helpful. I don't live in Chi- anymore. I should change my sig. Or maybe I should just move back to Chicago 'cause I miss it and all my cool friends!

Well thank you. That is a sweet tool. I think I'm going to add these o-rings to my order to use as tube dampers for my Raptor's 12au7 and 2 5687s: http://www.amazon.com/-115-O-Ring-Durometer-Black-Width/dp/B001D8BZ48/ref=sr_1_1?s=industrial&ie=UTF8&qid=1286869730&sr=1-1

.. They cost $0.40, so I should have $10.89 left to spend. Maybe I'll use that Filler Checker thing to fill in the rest unless some of you financially responsible headfiers have any other good ideas. I'm still searching for good ideas though for sure.

If you have some full size headphones, you can buy some banana stands to hold your headphones. You'll probably have to buy 2 though to reach $13.

Maybe I should get this one and keep pieces of fruit to eat while I listen to my full sized cans (-: http://www.amazon.com/Progressive-International-CHFB-2-Fruit-Bowl/dp/B000KILLZK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1286875465&sr=8-2

Ya. Better to eat an apple and listen to some Teddy Pendergrass than to drink beer and watch some violent tv show after work. Nurture the body and soul is what I always say.

Just get free second day shipping on them and be done. You ask how, right? Will if your a student sign up for the free amazon prime for a year. All you need is a edu email account to sign up. So if you know a friend thats a student have him sign up, it just sends an email once to the edu, to verify you. I love being multi piece orders and getting free shipping. Just an idea.

Good advice. Thank you. Alot of these ideas would never occur to me if it wasn't for headfi!

I would buy the remastered version of "Wish you were here" for $12.99.
