1/8" Stereo Male to two 1/4" female mono splitter

I am going nuts trying to find these wires. I basically have a laptop with a single 1/8"(3.5mm) output. I am trying to connect to it two active monitors that have 1/4" outputs and I cannot find a cable that splits 1/8" into 1/4"s. Does anyone know where can I find such a cable? The closest I have seen is this: http://www.samash.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_YPP118%20Stereo%201/4%22%20Male%20toDual%20Stereo%201/4%22%20Splitter_-1_10052_10002_-49971859?cm_mmc=LinkShare-_-Linkbuilder-_-Affiliate%20Link-_-SADC&cm_mmc=LinkShare-_-Affiliates-_-na-_-na

Which means that I have to get a 1/8 to 1/4 adapter, then connect the above adapter, and then connect my speakers! There must be a direct wire. Also, even the above link won't work since the cables are not available right now. I would really appreciate if someone could give me a purchase link for what I'm looking for. In Google, my search terms were: 1/8 to 1/4 splitter, adapter, 3.5mm, etc. Am I not using the correct words?

That doesn't help. First, I don't see anything I am looking for there and second, I am in the US.

I doubt what you're looking for exist. Why don't you just use adapter then splitter or vice versa.

Which is what you asked for - but you can also get mini jack Plug stereo > 2x monojack with up to 5m cable which might be better.

Take another look at the link I posted above. They have every possible connector. You just need to look.

I can't believe how tough it is to find it. That is it, but it is quite expensive and I have to pay to ship it from Europe to USA. Not worth it. I'll just use either a single stereo adapter 1/8 to 1/4 or two mono adapters. If the choice affects audio quality, let me know.

Here's one solution I mentioned in this post.  It involves adapters on each end of regular RCA cable.  It will work.

My personal preference is to try to keep my cables as generic as possible.  For example, I'd rather not have a specific cable made that has a 3.5mm TRS plug split out to two RCA cables each with a 1/4" TS plug on the end.  That's too specific.  When I get different gear that cable may no longer be appropriate.

If I stick with more generic cable combos and use adapters when needed then I have a better chance of being able to make good use of the cable later in the future when my gear changes.  For example, I can always make use of regular RCA cables.  If I need a 1/4" TS plug on the end I can add a female RCA to 1/4" male TS adapter on the cable.  The adapter is about $2 or less each.  Easy and flexible.
