Yes, "best" in what regard?

"Best" in what circuit?

"Best" with what resistor values?

"Best" with which headphones...etc.

I think in the end, there is no "best",

only good enough for one persons

ears at that moment.

Like these guys are saying, there is no universally accepted 'best' opamp.  Put a socket in and try loads!!

The OP said where he needed the part. So the answer is TLE2082. Cheap, nice sounding, not consuming much current.

ok LT1364 and TLE2082 so far.  

 

R2=100k

R3=2k

R4=10k

V Ground=TLE2426

Cans=HA-FX66, atrio M5, KSC-75, KSC-35, K81DJ, SR80

Music=genres of electronica: DnB, Jungle, Dubstep, Breaks, House, Trance

When you figure it out, turn your attention to solving "what is the BEST sandwich."  I love sandwiches.  Can't believe I'm wasting my life eating a bunch of not-the-best samples.

The one that's in front of me for lunch when I missed breakfast.

 

Okay, maybe that solution is a bit zen. It works for CMoys too though - "the one you're happy with."
