What are AT ES10 impressions like?

I was looking at some threads and not a lot of people seemed to have them at the time, so I figured I'd make an update thread of sorts :P

 

I'm looking to upgrade back to portable sized headphones from my SE530s... Looking for a bigger soundstage, with a smoother, overall better sound( lately, especially on my Cowon J3 I feel my 530s have been harsh... maybe because i got water in them even though I didn't feel I damaged them at the time?)

 

How would these ES10s compare to ES7, and the 530s, unamped?  I was thinking about going for full sized, open headphones, but apparently unamped not much will sound better than my current IEMs.

Simple search gave me at least 5 useful threads wink.gif

 

Anyway - I can give you a rough comparison against ES7 as I have owned both of them. In few words - similar, but better in every department. If you have/like ES7's, you can't go wrong with ES10's. You may also want to try ESW9, IMO not a big step down (if any at all), but woodies are much more comfy (mainly due to the leather earpads).
