How to couple Jfet gain stage to Szekeres's MOSFET amp

Thread Starter
I would like to use the JFET Preamp circuit found at the link below as a gain stage (actually stages) and use the Szekeres Mosfet driver as the output stage. My question is can I delete the input cap on the Szekeres driver since the preamp has a output cap? Also the preamp circuit has the volume pot on the output not the input. I was going to use the ESP "Better volume Control" instead of a log pot. If I use a 10K pot on the output of the preamp and connect a 1.5K pot to ground from the wiper is this going to cause problems with the Mosfet driver? I'm using a 100K bleeder resistor after R1 to ground on the Mosfet driver board. I'm usind a modular approach with a separate board for gain and output stages. The two stages are AC coupled. Thanks for any help.

Hello,

Headwize have an article on Szkeres' amp with Jfet input. You should read that.

DC coupling between two stages will require you to screw around with biasing. The electronics textbooks will go over that. Also, you can try using PSPICE. The latter is an excellent idea if you already know that details but you are too smart (?) to do the meddling calculations. (I do it )
