Audio-GD NFB-11 - Page 65

Do any one of you know if its possible to connect a iPod(stock or rockboxed) to NFB11 directly?

I had this unit for quiet some time and have been using the Opt and Coax from the PC so far ..

Never knew it had USB connector but the connector is rather odd .. It looks more like a BNC connector..

It has been a while since anyone posted in this thread.

My NFB-11 240V(europe) with USB input will go up for sale anyone interested can pm me.

As soon as possible I will put up an add on the sales/trade board.

I don't really need one, but I'm not going to lie, I'm kinda tempted to get one just as a throwback.  The NFB-11 USB was my first amp/DAC!

Exceptional news as it seems that Kingwa finally figured how to do USB input with Sabre.

I wonder if the connection is over I2S and what chip is this. It appears that he is not using the TE8802. Naming of those usually followed ".2" convention and this is not 11.2 but 11.32. TE8802 is limited to 24/192 and this is supposedly 32/384. Also, TE8802 seems to require a linux driver except for the most recent kernels, as reported. Same with macs, drivers needed. Obviously the question is whether this can be applied as an upgrade to other Sabre dacs, eg. NFB7.

Still using my NFB-11 daily....love it. Never could find a good reason to replace it. Saw the 11.32 this morning as I was going to recommend the NFB-15 to someone.....and now I am out another $300+.

Like my GF says coincidence doesn't exist. Everything happens for a reason!

It was my first DAC/amp too. I am glad Kingwa revived it. I will have a hard and long think about ordering one of these in the future because I had nothing to complain about mine.

Great news indeed!!!

Man if I had the money, I'd sell my current one, and upgrade. I love my NFB-11. I'm so happy that Currawong gave it to me. Its a fantastic intro to DAC/Amps.

I was on the pre-order list in 2010 but the usb was having problems, so I waited and here we are. Ordered.

30 NFB-11.32 units sold out already....that was fast.

I wander why is NFB11 that popular. Yes, great entry level device, but it costs ~300$ and it does not kill ~400$ device.. Yes, it does  sound nice and perform quite versatile, but there are many similar priced device with more musicality...
