A very all-round headphone for me. Just the right one to take on the go or on holiday. Also as a DJ, nice noice isolation. Very durable so you don't have to wonder if it will break if you throw...

I'd prefer doing a direct comparison between the two TBH.

So I got my NFB-11 today...it was set to variable DAC out so I opened it up to switch it to fixed/variable...and found something interesting...I'm missing two of these things in the middle. I'm not sure how this would affecet the sound...but it's the glaring omission compared to the picture on the Audio GD website...

The pictures on his web site would be of the originals. It's far from unusual that later production versions have changes made. It's the same with most manufacturers and not just of audio equipment.

TBH = to be honest. I already have experience with the NFB-11, so what I'd like to do is bring it to a meet and A/B it myself with an NFB-12.

No, but please ask Kingwa, it looks interesting ? :)
I hope in a month i will do a huge nfb-11, nfb-12, dac19dsp/c2.2 comparison, with the help of some with good ears and a musician, and a pair of orion speakers and k701 :)
I am a bit sceptical that my new dac19/C2.2 can beat the old nfb-11 but we will see. Add to that that i put much, much greater emphasize on the speaker/phone part. But i just was to curious to know the difference...and like to send money in Kingwas direction anyway, instead of som european/american overrated, overpriced stuff. I just got my old 20kg dac/player out the door.
Lots of mp3 320 comparions from spotify comming - lol

Those two "missing" relays could be related to removed USB input.
Perhaps, the Tenor usb reciewer in the original version is also missing.

Makes sense, it was removed from later models (there were apparently issues). I'm happy I got mine from Currawong whom had one of the original models with USB input. And it works great :)
