Dear Head Fi

I am after a cheap ( sigh ) amp for my DT880 but I am broke... What would you recommend, the two that seems good for me are : the Schiit Asgard and M Stage.

I live in France

Thanks

Both the amps you've listed look like GREAT choices. Those two amps are also on my list of likely buys.

I've also been eyeing up the AUNE Mini USB DAC Special Edition amp:

They have some other amps available as well:

If they intrest you enough try contacting the seller to see if they can ship to France.

Well, 250 dollars, 300 max with shipping. And how much would it be an improvement over a mini3?

I would go with the M-Stage, it's one of the best value amps I have ever owned. It can drive pretty much anything you throw at it and sounds great. I liked it better than the Asgard

Hi!

Look at http://www.project-audio.com/main.php?prod=headboxse&cat=boxes&lang=en

I can make you a very good price if you like it

The Asgard would be good, and the Musical Paradise MP-301 I would bet would be good match too.

Not to hijack, but I'm also looking for something similar to OP, and considering the M-Stage.  How would the Audio-GD FUN (maybe even Sparrow) compare?

Forgot about the Sparrow and FUN.  Both would be great, and the C2C would be as well.

Little Dot MKIII. The OTL design would be great for the DT880s especially if they are 300-600ohm. $194 + ship.

I would like to decide today. And I am really considering the M Stage.... buuuut it really shines with OPA627 and I do not want to risk buying a fake on coolfungadget.

Has anyone tried the DT880 with the Asgard?

Has anybody been able to test coolfungadget opa authenticity?

I thought the LD MKIII was a little inferior to both?

I would check the classifieds here, you can often get very good deals.

coolfungadget is a great guy to deal with. He has provided a great customer service for me so far. In fact, my M-Stage is waiting for me at the post office as  I am writing this (faster than I expected). So I wouldn't worry about coolfungadget!
