Which one sounds better? and how much better is it? Because I was planning to but the sony X series, then the new ipod touch came out, and it got so much good reviews.

The X sounds better... the Touch does everything else better.

QFT!!! I've owned BOTH, and the X Series does sound amazing, but the touch is great for everything else. The SQ is aceptable, so I'd go w/the touch. This is IMO, so YMMV.

The only thing I don't like about the X sound is the amount of hiss it produces. A lot of detail is lost if you use iems. But apart from that, and if you use headphones, or non-sensitive earphones, it is a very nice sounding player.
