orthodynamic headphone amp

Thread Starter

I know an electrostatic headphone requires an electrostatic amp. Does an orthodynamic headphone require a special amp or can you use a regular dynamic headphone amp? I believe you can use a regular dynamic headphone amp, but I just want to confirm.

Thanks in advance.

Orthos use dynamic amps.

does anyone know or recommended a good pair ortho and amp?

The LCD-2 and the HE-6 are getting a lot of love. Amps are another story. The LCD-2 can be driven with about anything in a desktop amp. The HE-6 will take a bit more consideration.

From Woo 6 owners, they do not have the power. My SP Extreme Platinum isn't even doing it fully. This hp will need an amp with high current output to push the HE-6 to elite status.
