Why: Because!
Parking: There is a municipal lot across the street with rates varying based on the length of stay. The maximimum amount is $8 until closing but is less if you stay a shorter time. There is also a hotel self parking lot for $10 per day and valet parking at $10 for up to 6 hours and $14 for longer or overnight stays.
If you are coming by public transportation the hotel has a free shuttle bus on call from White Plains Metro North Station.

Who can attend:
All Head-Fi members are welcome to attend. Please post in this thread if you plan on attending and indicate if you plan to bring any guests. The space is 1800 square feet so we should be able to accomodate all those that wish to attend
Cost:
The meet is free to attend but donations are encouraged and accepted to cover the cost of the room.
Not So Silent Auction:
We also hold an auction with items donated by the attendees which will also help pay for the venue. If you have anything of any value you would like to donate, please bring it along. This could be anything from a CD to extra cabling to a component or computer equipment you no longer use. Vendors in attendance will also be bringing auction items. Vinny from Red Wine Audio has already committed to offering an iMod as well as some other items. You generally can get a really great deal so bring your mula and be ready to bid.

Gear:
Members are encouraged to bring their headphone gear to share with the attendees. You can bring anything you want but keep the following in mind:
-People will be handling your stuff. Head-Fiers are extremely respectful - bordering on reverent - when it comes to gear so your equipment will be in good hands. But if you're not comfortable with people wearing your $1500 headphones, leave them at home.
-Likewise, if you are handling other people's gear treat it as if it were your own (or better). Don't switch out gear or borrow a pair of headphones to try in another rig without getting permission first.
-Try to keep food and drink out of the meeting area to avoid accidents.
-Although this is a social gathering please keep conversation low and to a minimum if possible. We may try to enforce a couple of "Zen Time" sessions where everyone is encourged not to talk for an hour or so.
-Personaly hygiene is important. Not sure this needs to be said but we always do. Avoid colognes or perfumes.
-Bring power strips and extension cords. Sources also seem to be at a premium sometimes.
