I wish I could find an Android device (even something like the Archos 501574) that could be a comparable replacement for my Cowon S9.

 

I love my Cowon, but the lack of WiFi  and some extra functionality is starting to make it show its age a bit.  I still prefer a dedicated player, but I only have so many pockets to carry these devices.

Well... unless your 'pack can tow and haul thousands of pounds.

Also would that be a Dodge Caravan? I'd say at least a Pacearrow if you want a portable house.

I have 3 daughters and a wife...apps and wifi are essential to make them shut up and give me some peace at times.

 

 

seriously though, no I don't need them, but I want them.  The biggest draw to the Archos is the screen size.  If the j3 had a 4" screen it would be in my pocket now.  Ideally I do what one of the other posters said and get that stuff on my phone but right now my job hasn't approved any android devices for company reimbursement so I am on a holding pattern for that.  I am thinking about saying screw it and going cowon and waiting on the company.  The way the android market is growing they almost have to approve one soon.

Marketplace can be sideloaded, which makes the new archos even more appealing.

I saw that earlier today, and it's great news. I can't wait for the release of the Archos 43 to see it implemented on the larger of the 2.
