HD650s would most definitely meet your music selections, but you'll want to invest in an amp later on in life if you want to get the full experience they can offer.

Senn's are not known for bass? Do you even know what you are talking about?

Actually from what I have heard Senns have no bass at all.

In fact, they roll off at 100hz - zero below.

Also, if you use $1000 cables and a $2000 amp it removes even more bass to create a sub minus bass structure.

Got them in the mail today and have been putting them through their paces. I'm pretty happy with them so far and am starting the burn-in process. The sound isolation for supra-aural cans is astounding, to say the least. I can definitely see where people have complained about the highs being a bit harsh, though. I'm hoping with a burn-in, cable upgrade and an eventual amp purchase, that I can take full advantage of these babies. So much sound out of a portable headphone.
