What should I chose? (HD-MP3 player)

I've always saw the growth of HD based MP3 players market as a good thing, until I needed to chose one!

Me main options are the:
IHP-100
IHP-120
KARMA
ZEN Xtra (30)
Samsung 910
Dell DJ

Price is a major issue-karma has a huge advantage at only 260-270
And size is also vary important-IHP-100/120
Sound quality and volume are the Xtra (and DJ?) territory.
To hock it up to the car is the easiest with 910.
Battery life is important but any thing around 15 is enough

I do believe that I will eventually get the KARMA which exhibits the best qualities (all-in-all).

Any thing else I should consider or your opinion?
How dose the karma sates in a jeans pocket?

Thank you very much in advance!
Rom.

karma probably has the most of what you are looking for, although the iRiver ihp is pretty close also. Test them out if you can. Dell is getting a bit more attractive the more I hear about it.

The Dell DJ is a serious contender. There's an earlier thread where I shared my views of the new DJ. 20 hours battery life. Great, easy to use interface. Simplistic playlist generation. Almost instantaneous response to playlist songs. Look down a few threads. If you have any particular questions, I'll answer if I can. I've only had it a few days, so haven't completely explored all features yet. Price is 299 for 20G, 249 for 15 G. This thing is much smaller than the reviews have mentioned. I've read, "clunky", "massive", etc. comparing the player to the ipod. Read the measurements and then draw it on paper. This thing is not clunky.

flipzter, is this your first hard drive mp3 player? If not, what others have you owned? thanks

I've owned the Archos 600 and Archos Multimedia Jukebox. I've played with a Zen NX for a little while and even ordered one. (Due to backorder I canceled)Battery life on the Dell and price convinced me to try the DJ. Glad I did. I love the thing. The Archos have perfected the plug and play side of the players. It's a true drag and drop using Windows explorer. But, their firmware is buggy, tech support non-existent, and frequent manufacturing defects are the norm.

DONT GET THE SAMSUNG.

all the others, any you choose, you will probably like.

Keep in mind the only one in your list with a replaceable battery is the Zen. All the others have built-in batteries that will most likely be dead in 3-5 years. Not a big deal to me, i buy new players periodically, but it matters to some people.

the iHP-120 has a true drag and drop interface with explorer, AND it can use winamp playlists

I really like that... though, im a bit biased atm

Also its got a sweet remote and FM radio AND is able to record striaght to mp3 from the line in
