Compact Tube Hybrid Amplifier vs Woo Audio WA3

Hey guys,

I have been using a Compact Tube Hybrid Amplifier (CTH) with my Grado RS-1 for some time now but im looking to upgrade to the Woo Audio WA3. Can anyone help me out deciding if its worth the extra ~130 or so to upgrade? Any thoughts on the amp with RS-1's?

I forget which one i heard, the WA 2 or the WA3...whichever one it was..it sounded great.

I'd stick with the CTH however knowing how good it sounds with the grados.

If anything, get a WA3 and test it out. If it doesn't do it for you , use the return policy.

any idea on a good $400 or so DAC? Need an upgrade there.

I wouldn't recommend the WA3 for grados.  It was designed with high impedance phones in mind.  The WA6 (or WA22 subject to your budget) would be a much better option for you if you are interested in a Woo amp that will mate well with your RS-1's.

how would the WA6 compare to the CTH?
