Hi, I am looking for a headphone amp around 400 dollars for my HF-2 headphone, better be small size, about same size as Grado RA1 and Graham Slee NOVO, bettary powered is prefered. Don't need much features, I only care about the sound.

Anyone have any suggestions? Appriciated.

Also, try the portable amps section?

Yeah the RSA Shadow may be something to look at also.

Are you looking for something portable or to use with your computer?

If it's the latter I'd recommend the HeadAmp Pico DAC/Amp.

I may not going to buy a portable one, since I use full size headphone its inconvient for me to go out side with it. but the amp better be small, around the size of Grado RA1.

I recently reviewed the Ortofon HD-Q7 (link)which pairs quite well with the HF-2 and fits all your criteria except for the battery part.

I think HF2 need an amp that at aggresive side to make it more "live"

I suggest for Linearossa K3 then, at least I really like how that amp sound when paired to Alessandro MS1i dan MS2i.

Lisa III sounds excellent with my HF2. Not too big and battery powered as well. Shameless plug I know, mine is actually for sale at the moment.
