List of bugs and suggestions for the new "Classified" section. - Page 6

Saw that now when I log into the for sale forums, "Last Updated" is defaulted. Hope this is for everyone so that "bumping" will now work again. **Thumbs up**

I still think it should be a setting we can change in our profile settings - that said I'm not against this change (and will be changing back to view by date added 95% of the time).

Massive thumbs up to the new system of controlled bumping!

Best of both worlds, well done.

good news! coz w/o bumping, price drops were next to impossible.

it reads "Bump in 2 days 22 hours" on my latest ad, does that mean that it'll be automatically bumped every 3 days until closed?

No.  This means that you can bump your listing in 2 days, 22 hours.  It's still a manual action, but that's the first time you can do so.

I assumed that mean you couldn't bump again for the best part of three days.

I'm all for that. Bump-spamming ruins classifieds as much as no-bumping does. If anything, it's generous, I'd have been fine with one bump a week.

EDIT: Started this post, before Joe's one showed up

I think bump-spamming is way better than people starting a completely new FS thread every day to keep their ad at the top.

Which makes me wonder why there still seem to be duplicate ads?  I stopped looking in the FS forums because all the duplicates just made it useless IMO.  But I'm glad to see the return to the last updated default.

edit: actually, there aren't any more duplicates as far as I can tell.

And the new bump function is cool!

Edit: It appears what I had to say has been said to death and possibly fixed. Checking now.

Let us/me know what you think may have been fixed.

How can I get beyond this when trying to post a classified in the Headphone:

"You are over your limit for posting this forum. Please check back later."

I had posted only once, and the post is now in the archive section.

(Anyone wanting a Grado RS-2 at good price?)

Pagination appears to be pretty screwed up. That is, on the main forum page, going to the next page works, but after clicking into a thread and then using the "Back" button in my browser, I'm taken back to the first page, regardless of what page I was on prior to clicking into the thread.

I'm using Safari on OS X, but it also happens in Safari on my iPad. I just checked Google Chrome and the same behavior occurs. In addition trying to go to the next page doesn't work after this bug happens. I *can* go to page 3 if I haven't been there before.

edit: It appears that I can't go directly to the page I was on before the bug happens. That is, if I'm on page 3 of the forum, click into a thread and then press back, I go back to page 1 of the forum. From this page, I *can't* go directly to page 3 again, but I can go to other pages. After I go to another page, I *can* go back to page 3.

What's with all this "257C0%257C0%257C0%257C0%257C0%257CClassified.created_at" junk at the end of my URLs?

after you've bumped once, it doesn't say anymore...in the previous forum, one bump every 2 days was allowed, and it still reads "PLEASE DO NOT BUMP FOR OTHER PEOPLE OR BUMP YOUR OWN THREAD EVERY DAY"

so it's one bump allowed every 72H now? might wanna clear this up IMHO.

I've waited 72H before bumping, but it hasn't bumped to the top: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/537498/
