This is going to be a weird question.

But is there anyway to use an ipod as a dedicated DAC for a computer?

I want to know if I can push digital audio through it and into my amp. I'm sure I'd need some other software for it but I just need to know what to look for.

Why do you want to do that???

Because I have an ipod laying around and a dedicated amp but no good source. The DAC on my ipod is noticably better then my onboard sound so I'd to use that for ALL of my audio conversion.

so why don't you just load up your ipod with music and use your amp with it, by attaching them with LOD??
