I really have enjoyed these cans for the last two years. The signature Grado sound is there with a beautifully finsished metal earphone chamber made of composite metal which gives them a rich, yet bright signature that has paired really well with my now sold Heed CanAmp and WooAudio WA3 tub amps. With these amps sold, I am moving on to speakers and group listening instead of the wonderful solo presentation I have enjoyed until now. I hope I don't regret that move. So, This includes the cans with modified cushions as well as low profile and a cushion with a kind of beveled edge, I cant remember what it is called. I highly recommend this cans for a variety of music, especially movie soundtracks and rock, and even jazz, and actually a wide spectrum of vocals, Pop and whatever you are into if you like that Grado Sound. I never liked the plastic chambers of the entry level Grados and could not afford the high end wooden models, so this was my compromise kit. They are in great shape and ready to go.
