For sale is an iRiver HP-120, complete with AC adapter (euro version with US prong adapter), USB cable, leather carrying case, and retail box/manuals. This is in excellent condition, I only see a few very small light nicks in the chrome finish trim on the top of the player, it is otherwise mint, completely scratch free and basically looks new. I've tested and played with it, everything works 100%.
I bought this just recently with the intent of possibly replacing my ipod/mini3 combo - but I've been buying too much stuff lately and being the way I am I would have to upgrade the HD (which I think can be done up to 120GB) to give it better capacity, and of course I'd probably be looking at buying one of the iBasso DAC/amps to pipe it with the optical output, which is what makes this thing really sweet. I just bought spent money upgrading headphones and my desktop rig so I've decided to sell this to help fund the other upgrades.
With the exception of the Hifiman 602 or 801 DAP, or maybe the iMod variants, a lot of folks here find this to be one of the best portable source components out there when paired with a portable DAC/amp like the iBasso D10 or D12 using the optical signal. And these aren't getting any easier to find, especially in this condition.
Additional details on the unit: Battery life seems pretty good, I've gotten a few hours out of it from a full charge and the indicator still shows a decent charge of about 50%. Batteries are cheap and supposedly not that tough to replace on these as well if you're not afraid of doing that sort of thing. I Rockboxed (most current build version - 3.6, I think?) it right away when I got it, and I'd say that's a must-have, the normal interface was pretty lousy.
I'm asking $$$$SOLD$$$$ shipped in the CONUS, which is a pretty fair price and basically me just getting the money back that I paid for it. I'll ship it outside the US with additional shipping costs covered so PM me if interested. Also, I have stellar feedback in ebay (same ID as here - meltdown100), I'm Paypal verified, and have a few transaction under my belt here already (not sure if I've gotten any feedback here yet though).
Hopefully I can get some photos in here... okay, photos are embedded, can't seem to find a way to rotate them - but hopefully that won't be too bothersome.
EDIT- ***forgot to mention, this does not come with the remote, apparently this packaging did not include one, since a sticker right on the retail box says 'remotes not included'. Also, as far as I know this is a completely stock unit, whether or not it was a refurb I have no idea, nothing on the packaging indicates such (but it certainly could be since the remote is not included). I have no reason from the seller I bought it from to believe that it was opened or modded in any way - I've done the only modification that I am aware of by rockboxing it.***
