Interconnects for my System

Thread Starter

I just purchased a Jolida JD100A to go with my Jolida 707A amp last night.  I was wondering what interconnects you guys would recommend?  I will say that my goal is to spend under $100 for 1m length.  I should mention that I'm pushing Totem Arrow speakers too.  I'm willing to buy new or used.

I've read some excellent things on this forum about bluejeanscable.  Go with them or someone else?

This is going to be a hotly contested thread because there are devout camps on both sides of your question.

Some will say any well made cables will be the same performance regardless of price so don't waste your money.

Others will say listen to the different materials and configurations to determine your taste with your gear.

IMO- If you are using a solid state/digital source with a solid state amp, solid copper ICs. If you have tube amp and SS/digital source, go silver or SPC.

There are all kinds of alternatives so this is only my opinion to start a discussion. Get a salt block ready starting with my post.

I do know this is a highly contested area.  That's why I'm hoping by saying that my budget is $100 and under for 1m I will not get TOO many opinions.

I should mention that the CD player and Amp are both Tube.

I use both a tube dac and amp and the best sound for me was SPC (silver plated copper). If you can, get a few different cables and try them out. I was able to "borrow" several different cables from my A/V dealer while they were closed. It didn't take long to determine my favorite flavor. My A/V dealer showed me the different cables of the material I chose in my price range. I ended up with a used pair (bought from the A/V dealer) for the help they provided. If you can't get that done, try hitting a meet. We all bring in our latest greatest in to share with members.

Here is a source for custom cables. Bluse Jeans is highly regarded for its quality product, reasonable cost and fast service.
