For years and years, I had a pair of SONY MDR v-6 headphones. Recently, the band on those cracked. Ideally, I'd want to replace just the headband, since the drivers still work fine, but I'm realizing that may not be possible. I don't want to give SONY any more money, for various reasons.
So I'm looking for a pair of inexpensive circum-aural (I think that's right) headphones. The local stores sell nothing but crap, so here I am.
I saw the AKG-271 for sale the other day, and those are damn sexy looking. I'd love to pick up a pair of those if the price was right.
I've got about a hundred bucks to spend, so if you think you've got a good offer for me, I'd love to hear it.
PS: I know I'm new, but I have a history over at hardforum as well as some feedback on heatware, if you guys use any of that.
