Comparable alternatives for B22 - Page 7

With the Dedicated Power Supply they are pretty similar, although not quite the same. The GS-1 will always be superior thanks to the better volume control (and better still with the optional DACT).

I wouldn't back out of getting the GS-1 if I were you...even if you have to wait a long time.    The biggest mistake I made was to sell my GS-1.   I wanted to go balanced and had heard about long wait times for the GS-X (which are true) so I decided to get a balanced amp from another manufacturer that promised a quicker turnaround.  I tried to like this amp (will tell you which one by PM, if you're interested), but it never approached the GS-1.   So I finally ordered the GS-X and fully intend to wait, regardless of how long it may take.   Fortunately all is not lost, since I still have my trusty and excellent Headamp AE-2 to use in the interim.   Actually in your case, it's entirely possible that Justin will be able to get out the GS-1 faster than the GS-X, which is more of a niche product.
