Need to choose a DAC: MF V-DAC vs. Audio-GD FUN vs Musiland Monitor 02 US

Thread Starter

I am currently considering DAC options for my Audio-Technica ATH-AD2000.

In various threads I've found both the V-Dac and the half as expensive Monitor 02 US described as equal to or even better than the Cambridge Audio DACmagic (I owned one when I had a balanced HD650 setup a few months back).

I've just put this thread together because I've had difficulty finding any comparisons between any of the three DACs mentioned here and was hoping someone could help me out.

I would be getting a separate amp for the V-DAC or Monitor, but the built-in amp of the FUN would save me that trouble.

Could anyone give a comparison between any of these DACs, I like what I have heard in individual reviews about each, but am not sure which performs as a DAC out of the three.

I imagine they would be ordered differently in terms of value for money and for sound quality.

I'd really appreciate your thoughts on this.
