8" sub driver help recommendation?

i have got the best sub cabinet for an 8" driver, it is a somewhat old alpine s type box, and i blew the speaker long ago, but it punched so hard i couldnt part with it and now i am going to reinstall an 8 inch for my home system

 

originally it had a 4 ohm  driver.....  since i am using it in my home system and all my speakers will most likely be 8 ohm, should i then get an 8 ohm sub  driver as well??

 

i was told it didnt matter much as long as the cabinet was good?

 

what are some good drivers i should look into?

 

 

im about to by some cheap ones, but should i not?
