Various questions about Cmoy headphones amplifier

Hi!

 

At first i'd like to tell you guys that i am new to this forum. I've read lots of stuff here before but never really registered. My knowledge about audio is quite good, but i don't know that very much about "head-audio". And my knowledge about electronics are almost unexisting.

 

Well, to the topic... I have a couple of questions about the Cmoy pocket amplifier...

 

Are the Banzai V2 packs on ebay anything to have?

 

I've tried looking up components myself at Elfa but i miss protoboard and connections and all that. The electriccomponents were quite easy to find though. And it seems like there are no other protoboards that look like the Radioshack. I can buy one with 3*1 "copper-strips" but i'd have to make a new layout for that.

I built a Banzai recently and is OK.

The cMoyBB is much better.

Building from scratch like Tangent is probably more educational.

Yes, building from scratch is more educational but it will cost me much more than i am willing to spend. International shipping from more than three places is just more than enough.

Will go take a look at the Futurlec protoboard.

 

Edit: Do you mean the Futurlec Prototyping Board 777?

you can't find any local sources for the parts? i spent maybe 20 bucks building mine including an enclosure. 40 if you count the wall wart since i made it not battery powered.

No. The only thing we have here in Sweden is elfa and they don't have everything i need.
