Up for Sale is a Stax SRS-2050A System:
SR-202 Earspeakers and
SRM-252A Driver Unit
I bought this system new in January of 2008 and it probably has not seen more than a couple of hundred hours of playtime since then.
I would rate the Earspeakers 8/10. They are not shiny brand new, but the still look and sound great. There are a few nicks on the pads, but they are still soft and tear free. The Driver unit is 8/10, it has a line on the bottom where the paint has been a little messed up and the two back foam feet are only about half there, but it you didn't pick up the unit you could never tell either of these. They both are functionally flawless and sound great.
This is the Japanese import model, hence the "A" designation and not the "II" designation of the US unit. What this means is that it uses a different power adapter than the US version. The polarity is reversed on the plug, and the original AC adapter that came with the unit is made for a 100V outlet and not the 110/120V outlets in the US. I will inlude both the original japanese AC adapter, and 12V adapter that I converted for use with the driver unit (see pictures)
Also included are all the original boxes and the Japanese instructions manuals for the Earspeakers and the Driver Unit.
