Up for trade(/sale) is my Sennheiser HD580 which I bought about a year ago from the Head-fier Mr.Khali. I'm not sure how many owners there have been but I'm sure there was at least one owner before Mr.Khali. They have been well burned in over the years by me and by the previous owners. The grills have been replaced with the HD600 grills (I don't have original grills), and the cable has been replaced with the quality feeling HD650 cable. There is an extra cable that came with it; which I was told was damaged. I checked this cable and it didn't have any shorts and it had no breaks in copper conductor, it also didn't appear to have any physical damage. This extra cable and a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter will be included. The headphones sound excellent (but it's just not for me). They are in really nice condition (the best condition of any of my headphones). The only mark/flaw I know of is a small scratch, and a smudge on the lettering of the head band (on the ‘NN’ of Sennhesier). They where used by me off and on for a year (but I've become a hardcore AKG fan and can no-longer justify it's room in my collection). They where used in a smoke free and pet free home. For the first little while I'll be only interested in trades (I rather trade it for something I want rather than sell it). If no reasonable offers or no offers for trade with in a reasonable time I will open it up for an outright sale. Here is a list of what I would be willing to trade these HD580s for, if the item is in acceptable condition [ordered from most desired to least]: AKG K271 MKII, or AKG K272 HD, or AKG K271 Studio, or AKG K171 MKII, or AKG K172 HD, or AKG K171 Studio, or AMB M³ (with OPA604 (40V PSU)) [NOT AMB Mini³, and needless to say with Power Supply], or AMB Cavalli-Kan Kumisa III (CK²III), or AMB M³ (with any other op-amp), or an AKG K290 (with or without switch box). Don't bother PMing about headphones or amplifiers not on that list (sorry, but those are the only things I'm interested in trading it for). I adore the velour ear pads but I'll settle for the leatherette pads if there is no other option. The older headphone (K290) I'm looking for should be something close to Fitz quality. ;P And all headphones and amps should be from a smoke free home.
