Moar Trance! - Page 2

Trance is only getting worse and worse lately. Older trance (pre 2000) can still give me a trancy sensation, newer trance focusses on that feeling so much that it just doesn't cut it in my opinion. Try old Paul van Dyk (45 RPM / Seven Ways material) or older Signum, it's less over-emotional then most Tiësto etc. stuff. Armin van Buuren used to make some pretty good music as well, it's sad to see how much he has deteriorated in the last couple of years.

The 90's brought some great trance tracks. Although I still find the genre just as enjoyable today as I did 20 years ago.

I"m no Trance'o'phile but do enjoy Goa every now and again.

Have there been any killer recent Goa albums someone can recommend?

Trance Around the World backlogs usually hit the spot. I'm also a fan of the old Tiesto In Search of Sunrise's so I give those a listen once in a while.

Big fan of Above & Beyond! I escpecially like their recent release "worldwide 02" Mixed by Super8 & Tab and Mat Zo on their anjunabeats label.

Some of my favorite modern trance producers are duderstadt and maor levi that often appear on the trance around the world mixes.

I'd suggest:

reflect by maor levi

and i saw you were interested in tiesto, so this is one of my favorites by him

Dang. Lots of good material in here, guys. Thanks.

Probably excruciatingly mainstream for you folks, but I'll just throw out Vicious Delicious by Infected Mushroom. Listened to that album too many times to count. CD2 of Converting Vegetarians is also pretty good, imo.
