Hi,

 

I am looking for an amp that can drive k701.

 

Preferable on : Little Dot I+, Little Dot MKII, Little Dot MKII.

It will not be easy to find an amp for the K701 in that price range, as those headphones really like to have a powerful, clean, spacious amp pushing them.  If you can scrape together $375, there is a X-Can V8 on the sales forum right now that will make you very happy, and the amp far exceeds that price.  I had the V8 with a K701 and it was a very good match... very good.  I tried many amps with my K701 and the V8 really impressed.  Good luck with your search.

I have also heard the combo, and I can also attest that it is excellent. The primary benefit of the X-Can is that it is a DAC and amplifier, so it's really a budget setup. I'm still a fan of solid state amplifiers with the K701, but the X-Can is a great option.
