I'm sure there will be more interest when we get a date sorted etc. January is looking good for most so I guess I will begin talking with Summit Events next month.

What do you mean?

 

Just so others know, Camdale (guy with the ESW9s and Evangelion on laptop), jbosner (couldn't make the last one) and audio jester (guy with the mac) want to come along.

 

So we have around 10 or so at this stage.

You've got plenty of time until the meet.

 

Maybe a raffle; give away some of your headphones! Or be very conservative in charging people for the venue and use the extra funds to buy something to raffle off, e.g. everyone could use an extra Sieveking Omega headphone stand.

As in, I'm going to budget that I pay for the entire meet and any voluntary donations are a bonus.

Hey i didn't get the invite ???? 

 

So has January been decided then? Not a good month for me i am afraid. Away for most of that month. When was the last one? Only a few months back yeah? Planning on doing two a year then? The last one was great btw.

 

Well unfortunately i have sold my Eddie Current Balancing Act to a fellow SNA'er ......  ...... but the good news is the proceeds from that sale have gone down on a new BA .. a revamped BA ... one that can now accept 4 different type of output tubes (instead of 2). 

 

(Shameless plug: I also have my Meridian G08 CDP for sale if anyone is interested??)

 

Don't think i will have the BA by January anyhow. Since the last meet i have more balanced headphones than i know what to do with. I have a balanced SAA (Stefan Art Audio) cable for my HD600's and 650's (just silk as ... now i know why SAA is such an expensive cable). I also have a pair of K701's wired with the Silver Dragon cable. And i also have a pair of the LCD-2's (Balanced) on order which i expect to receive any day now. Also have on order a Playback Design SACD player that accepts digital inputs so you can use it as a dedicated DAC. This i will have before Xmas .. probably will end up being my Xmas present.

 

So quite a bit has happened since the last meet. So if you are willing to reconsider the month ... then i can make it ... otherwise will have to wait to the next one.

Some guys won't be able to do January so we might go with Feb or even March.

 

I'm not entirely sure how many we should have a year. There is a bit of interest so it sort of makes sense to hold it earlier. I guess we could have an annual meet from our next one but it's something we can all discuss at the upcoming meet.

Hey Jeff, totally revamped your system I see. Same thing happened here, before I knew it all was changed, even interconnects.
