Where to get a discrete Diamond buffer for Millet Hybrid?

I just posted a WTB, but thought I'd ask around here if anyone knows where to get a Diamond Buffer. Just got a fixer upper Millet Hybrid and would love to upgrade it. I know that people had these a few years ago, but it seems like they aren't as common now.

Perhaps Per-Anders SSB would be suitable?

Good suggestion, but the Steinchen Diamond Buffer was made expressly for the revMH version of the Millett Hybrid.  Part of the construction process was making socket pins that would straddle and plug into the two opamp sockets that were used for the standard monolithic buffers (BUF634, OPA551):

You might try PM'ng n_maher.  If he doesn't have some old diamond buffer boards, he may know someone who does.  They've also shown up from time to time in the For Sale threads.

I was only looking at the internals of one of these a couple of weeks ago at a friend's house, oops!

This buffer *should* work if the user wires it in. The drop in buffers were quite nice though.

Do you guys think that this mod makes a noticeable difference? Is it worth it?

There was quite a discussion at one time several years ago about this.  You can measure a Diamond Buffer board vs. an OPA551 with RMAA with indistinguishable results.  However, the tale is told in the listening - there's no comparison. The Diamond Buffer board is far and away superior.  It kind of demonstrates the arrogance in trusting our testing procedures.

I have an unpopulated diamond buffer board for the revMH version from the original group buy that I could probably live without ... I'll see if I can find it.
