Help with DIY M^3 Amplifier?

So a lot of people rave about the Mini^3 and the M^3 amplifier.  They always refer to this link:

http://www.amb.org/audio/mmm/

Anyways, I go to that link and all I can find is links for just the board.  Where do I go for a full parts list including a power supply, etc.  Whatever the M^3 needs to get up and running.  I don't need a fancy case, I could customize that myself, but I need to know how to put it together and where to get ALL the parts.  I want the M^3 and not the Mini one.

They have a parts list here:

http://www.amb.org/shop/

but, that doesn't include the power supply or anything else.  I am just confused where to get everything.

I guess this must be your first build...

M^3 is meant for more experienced builders who are familiar with

sourcing their own part. There are plenty of suggestions in the

parts list section. This is done on purpose to let the builder decide

on the quality of the parts they want to use. Not to say that anyone

would pick low quality parts, it just that some people will chose more

exotic and expensive part...

The power supply is another project on the AMB site.

thanks for the help.  is there anywhere i can get a used m3 besides the classifieds here?

There is a BOM here.

Maybe you can have one of the builder here give you

a quote for a completed board and you can do the rest yourself.

The section titled "parts list" has all the part numbers you need along with notes and alternatives.

The section titled "power supply" lists the required specs of the power supply (of which the sigma11 is recommended http://www.amb.org/audio/sigma11/ )

Putting it together requires a general knowledge of DIY, though the documentation that AMB provides is very comprehensive and the M^3 is not too terribly difficult of a build I would agree with Arvo that you may want to choose a different project as a first project. If you've already had experience with other projects, read through AMB's documentation and go to town :)

well ive rewired several sets of the hd555, ad700 im currently working on, etc.  i dont want to work with "lethal" power supplies though so id rather just buy this used.

Ah, then I wouldn't recommend building the M^3 as a first project. I'd say a portable amp like a cmoy or mini3 would be a good fun first project :)

I will provide a build tutorial for the M^3 and σ11 sometime in october along with my BoM. If this is your first time building an amp, it is best if you work under supervision of someone who's an expert with electronics so you don't electrocute yourself.

If you can't find a builder in the US then I would do it.

You can see examples of my board work in the "pictures of your builds" section.

I'll even just do the o22 power supply if you like.

Just make sure it's the o11 rather than the o22 that you build ;)
