USB DAC + Headphone amp suggestion

Thread Starter

Dear all,

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 555 and Sennheiser IE 6 as an IEM. I would like to buy a USB DAC + Headphone amp combo for my laptop, since both the drive is not enough for the 555 and there is hissing in my analog speaker output.

Does anyone have suggestions < 300$?

Thanks, best,

Tuncay

I'm quite happy with the Maverick D1. This would suit your needs and is fun to fool around with OpAmp rolling.

Thank you all so much.. I really appreciate your help, since I am a music junkie, but just got started in higher quality equipment.

I second the Audinst HUD-mx1; it's a quality Amp/ DAC.

The USB interface "PCM2704 of BB" is OK but limited to 44/48 kHz and 16-bit data.
