Please Please Help with AD700 Wiring and Detachable Cables

So frustrated on this.  I am pretty sure the negetive (ground goes to the top) and positive (signal goes right below) on the AD700 left driver.  The right driver is easy to figure out because the bronze and red wires are still attached.  I plugged the plug in and it had a signal somehow so I figured it was working.  Then I took the plug on the end off and the wires were disconnected.  When I plugged the mono male into the left driver I heard no sound.  Anyways, I could really use your help from people who already re-wired the AD700 or have any knowledge of how to connect the female drivers to them.  I have 2 mono male plugs going into the females in the cups which I think is right.  The mono males have a signal and a ground so that was pretty easy to hookup.  The problem is the females have 2 little bronze rings and a ground and they were labeled as Mono on Markertek's website so I am confused.  I tried putting the wire through both and I got no sound, then I just tried through one and I got no sound.  So could anyone please help me this is frustrating me and I don't want to ruin my headphones out of frustration.

Here are some photos of what I am talking about.  You can either post on here to help me or PM me if you feel you have to.  Either way I need help on this ASAP!  Thanks in advance x100.
