IEM to be worn under motorcycle helmet

Thread Starter

I'm looking for an IEM to be worn under a motorcycle helmet.

What I need:

1) Good isolation. Don't really care that much about sound quality (for obvious reasons).

2) Low profile. Can't stick out too much.

3) Durability. Wires will be under considerable stress.

4) price < $40

JVC Marshmallows would be good, I guess, except for #3. Other ideas?

$10 earplugs from a pharmacy meet all your criteria.

I remember my parents(or family friend) telling me that it's illegal to drive with headphones on.

I'm not sure if that applies with motorcycles.

...then again my parents tried to convince me that the easter bunny was real.

It depends on the country, quite often though it's all encompassed in the 'drive with due care and attention avoiding distractions' resulting in stories like being arrested for eating an apple while driving etc...

Meelectronics M6 should do the trick.
