the HM-601 worth a thought?

If you can let go of FLAC playback I would go for the Sony X1060. SQ is same or even better than from the S:flo2 and the rest is without doupt better.

The only players (AFAIK) that have a 3.5 mm LO, are the S:Flo 2, Hifiman HM-601/602/801, and the Colorfly.

Actually it doesn't have a line-out, just coaxial-in. coaxial-out, one USB data-in  and two headphone-outs.

Sorry, I didn't actually look at the tech specs. I assumed the 2nd headphone out was a LO.

There's also the 4G imod which has a 3.5mm line out. I can't think of anything else.

Actually the interesting bit is that one of them is 6.5mm and the other is 3.5mm, running from two different amp sections and those who listen to both say the 6.5mm sounds better than the 3.5mm.

Strange, but couldn't you use an adaptor if you wanted the 6.5 mm one?

Well the 6.5mm has a higher output and is meant for harder to drive full-sized. It might be too powerful for sensitive IEM and earbud, so Colorful decided to make two headphone-out instead of one.
