Testing my System?

So I wanna know what you guys recommend for testing out my system. I recently had a power outage that damaged one of the usb hubs on my server, which I use to stream music to my Audio-GD Compass via usb. Fortunately, the front usb ports appear to have their own hub and the audio  flows out of them just fine. I'm shaken though, and I wanna know what I can do to verify that I do indeed have a clean, uncolored signal streaming to my headphones. Here is the audio path:

FLAC --> MPD --> USB --> Audio-GD Compass --> Denon D200 --> My Ears.

 

What do you guys do? White noise? Pink noise? Favourite albums? I listen to mainly hip-hop, so my albums aren't real good for reference. Plus, I wouldn't know what to compare to, as my current setup is the best I've ever had.

You have a strong profile. Your stare is mysterious. You're perturbed, no, it's something else.  What is he looking at? What is he listening to? What is he privy to that I am not?

 

Your angular features would superimpose exactly over the head of a Moai. You could try that with a couple transparencies and an overhead projector.

On topic, I don't think there's anything aside from an intensive diagnostic analysis to test if your equipment is up to spec. If it sounds good to you, and smoke isn't pouring out of anything, then it's good, in my opinion.
