Hello,
I am looking for a DAC with an integrated amplifier for my TF10 und DT880.
Right now I am using a Zero DAC and either its integrated amp or a CK²III (diy amp), depending on my location. The Zero has some audible hissing and humming when used with the TF10, which is the reason I want a new DAC (besides that, I feel its upgrade time). Using a impedance adapter removes the hissing, but not the humming.
So I am looking for a DAC with these features:
-No hissing or humming with the TF10 (their sensitivity is 117dB @ 1mW)
-Integrated amp section which least as good as the Zero's
-Optical input, coaxial is not needed
-USB input would be nice, but I can live without it
-Line out so I can still use my CK²III, unless the integrated amp is on par with the CK²III. Line in not needed.
-Not much bigger than the Zero (240*220*55mm) and not too heavy since I'd need to transport it a lot. Doesn't have to be a portable DAC though.
Budget is around 300$, a bit more if I can buy it from a European seller.
So far I've looked at the iBasso D4/D10 and the Yulong DAH1. I've read about some hissing issues with the DAH1, however; and I'm worried that the iBassos wouldn't be the best for stationary use.The D4 uses USB as power source, which could be noisy, the D10 uses the power supply to recharge the battery and I'd have to switch charging on and off manually.
I hope one of you can help me find something nice.
