Is there anyone that could recable my AKG K81 DJ's?

AKG has not been responding to my repair requests and I really love these headphones. Someone sat on my bed when they were plugged into my laptop, and the jack got bent. Over time they got more and more fuzzy, and now I can't stand them anymore.

Is there anyone who is reliable that could recable them? I don't have the time to buy a solder gun and do it myself because I am a busy student.

BTW I'm in Virginia

You're a busy student. Is there an Electrical Engineering department? Some of the students there might know how to solder.

P.S. you can buy soldering irons online.

Yeah but don't I have to buy a ohmmeter? And soldering just seems difficult from back when I did it in high school.

You should have a multimeter. They start at about $5.

After a lot of thought maybe I can recable them by myself.

The problem is, I've gone through like 50 threads and none of them have exact enough descriptions or a supply list on what exactly I should buy. And the ones that do have broken links. Can anyone help?
