Hello,
First, I want to explain what I want to do. I bought a new sound card for home recording (guitar mostly). The problem is it can't drive headphones directly so I decided to build a headphone amplifier which was actually planned many years ago for home recording but now it's a must.
I've been searching schematics to get some interesting ideas about headphone amps. I stumbled upon that CHA47 threads but couldn't find the schematic. I need to check this one too if there is evil genius parts in the schematic, but no luck. I wonder if there is a restriction about it.
Second, I have some opamps lying around. Especially, I want to make the amp with one of the OP213s I have. I did some protoboard experiments before with those opamps and the results were pretty damn good. Those opamps can work with single supply (my experiments were single supplied). In the datasheet, even an application note indicates such operation (multimedia application, very simple headphone amp. diagram). Do you still recommend dual supply operation ? Also any tips with those opamps?
Thanks for the replies in advance...
